Turkey Island

It all begins with an idea.

Some properties immediately feel special the moment you arrive — and 15851 Turkey Island Cir in Winter Garden, FL is definitely one of them. Tucked away on a rare half-island with sweeping water views and even a distant glimpse of the Orlando skyline, this $2.95M listing offered the perfect mix of luxury, serenity, and a little bit of behind-the-scenes chaos.

A Four-Hour Shoot That Had Me in “Go Mode”

For this project, I handled both the real estate photography and the cinematic property video. My total time on site was about four hours — not long for a full photo + video package — so from the second I stepped out of the car, I was in pure “go mode.”

And then something unexpected happened…

The owner spent an entire hour of precious daylight cleaning bird droppings off the dock. One full hour. While the sun kept dropping lower.
I’ll be honest — inside, I was nervous. Losing golden light can make or break a waterfront shoot.

But sometimes things work out better than you expect.

Sunset Magic We Couldn’t Have Planned

Once the dock was finally clean, the timing lined up perfectly.
The sky opened up with one of those spectacular Florida sunsets that you simply cannot guarantee, no matter how much planning goes into a shoot. The warm orange and pink tones lit up the water, wrapped around the property, and gave us everything we needed for both the photos and the video.

We weren’t just lucky — we were unbelievably lucky.

The Gear Behind the Shoot

For anyone curious about the technical side, here’s the setup I used:

  • Sony A7S III for all video work

  • Sony A7R III for still photography

  • DJI Air 3S for aerial shots

  • DJI RS4 Pro gimbal for smooth movement

  • iFootage Shark Slider Nano II for those slow cinematic slider moments

This combination gave me the flexibility to capture the home from every angle — wide, detailed, and elevated.

What Makes This Listing Stand Out

Beyond the gear and the sunset, the home itself made the job rewarding. Features that truly stood out:

  • Its unique half-island setting

  • Panoramic water views on almost every side

  • Peaceful privacy while still being minutes from Winter Garden

  • A luxury design that fits the $2,950,000 asking price

  • The ability to literally watch the Orlando skyline glow in the distance

Orlando downtown wayyyy back there.

Properties like this don’t show up often in Central Florida — and photographing them is a privilege.

Final Thoughts

Every real estate shoot has its own story. This one had great light, a bit of chaos, a lot of gear, and a sunset that tied everything together. The final images and video truly showcase what makes 15851 Turkey Island Cir such a phenomenal place to live.
